Infuse Wellness

sri_mummaneniDr. Sri Mummaneni

I want to raise the bar for health, where the goal is optimal, not just “normal.” My focus on health has continuously evolved, as I have seen how healthcare has helped and hurt my patients and my family. I have had many family members diagnosed with chronic disease and cancer, but only offered sick care. Since medical school, I have worked to move health away from the pills and surgery, the traditional way of western medicine. I want to move our country away from a reactionary, only treat when sick, model to one based on achieving optimal health.

I am a preventive medicine physician who trained in Occupational Medicine at UCLA and Integrative and Holistic Medicine at University of Arizona with Dr. Andrew Weil. I have set up onsite clinics that dramatically reducing worker’s compensation costs for large and small employers such as Boeing, Hospital Corporation of America, and AIG. This work also let me to develop telemedicine products and write guidelines for injured workers and telehealth.

My current practice, Infuse Wellness, works with high performance individuals like CEOs and professional athletes looking for peak performance through nutrition, exercise, and medical interventions; integrating biohacking, conventional medicine, and integrative medicine creating efficient, outcome-driven methods for optimal health.

Three things I love to do are: 1) Connecting different fields and disciplines to create new solutions. 2) Finding different uses for technology (new and old). 3) Breaking down complex ideas or concepts and explaining them in simple, easy to understand ways.

Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotid (NAD+)

Removing the Barriers and Myths of Aging

Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD+) is a coenzyme present in almost all cells in your body. NAD’s main purpose is to fuel metabolic reactions, or provide you with energy on a cellular level. Without NAD+, your cells won’t be able to metabolize carbohydrates, fats and amino acids (proteins). NAD+ also plays a significant role in gene expression linked to age-related diseases. It can even be used to help reduce cravings associated with withdrawal from alcohol and opiate addiction. NAD+ is both neuro-protective and restorative – helping with cellular healing and the generation of new cells. This important coenzyme, a valuable component in helping to slow or even reverse certain aspects of aging.

How Does NAD+ Work?

The NAD+ coenzyme plays a critical role in regulating those genes in your body that speed the aging process. It aids in transferring, to the mitochondria, energy released from fatty acids and glucose. This, in turn, is converted into cellular energy, which powers the body and helps to maintain its youthful vigor. At the same time, NAD+ activates sirtuins…enzymes that control the genes related to aging.

Why You May Need NAD+

lhi_chronic_conditionsNo matter how much we may try to fight it, age brings with it certain declines in physical and mental function. We can build up fat storage in our liver, suffer from vascular inflammation that damages our blood vessels, lose muscle strength and even develop a resistance of sorts to insulin, which can lead to higher blood sugar levels. These factors often lead to fatigue, general malaise and can, ultimately, contribute to serious health conditions. Whether you are experiencing any of these symptoms or suffer from depression, have trouble sleeping or find physical activities a bit more challenging than before, you may benefit from NAD+ supplements from our experienced, qualified staff.

Potential Benefits

If you’re concerned about aging’s impact on your body and mind, perhaps you should consider NAD+ as an important addition to your health and fitness routine. Even if you are in relatively good shape, NAD+ could give you that extra boost toward peak efficiency. Some of the potential benefits include:

  • Converts food into usable energy
  • Fortifies cell defense systems
  • Helps protect the brain against stress
  • Reduces potential for fatty liver deposits
  • Recalibrates your body’s internal clock for better sleeping
  • Aids in DNA repair
Boosting Your Energy, Protecting Your Health

We all have it within our power to maintain energy, stamina and healthy living, as we grow older and wiser. Besides eating a nutritional diet, exercising and keeping a positive outlook, we can also benefit from vital supplements such as nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD+), the coenzyme that provides a unique cellular boost to your system. If you don’t quite feel like your former self or you’re just looking to maintain your physical edge, we invite you to discuss with us how a regular health maintenance program featuring NAD+ might benefit you. After all, life isn’t just about living…it’s about living well.

Why Should You Get NAD Treatment?

One of the most effective ways of getting NAD where you actually need it is through IV therapy. The treatment can do all of the following for you:

Combat Aging

With a median agemedian age of 38.2, most Ventura County residents are eager to find a way to halt aging. Although the fountain of youth may not exist, NAD may bring you one step closer to a youthful appearance. Generally, changes in your metabolism as you get older contribute to the aging process. NAD stabilizes your metabolismstabilizes your metabolism and combats the many effects of aging.

Boost Your Energy and Decrease Fatigue

Because NAD plays such a crucial role in fueling cells, it’s believed to contribute to your overall energy levels. In addition to other things, NAD aids the cells in converting nutrients into usable energy. This allows the cells to perform the functions that they need to achieve: regeneration, repair, and growth. By increasing levels of NAD, your body is able to recover more quickly. After therapy, you might feel more energetic and ready to take on life.

Improve Recovery

Your body relies on NAD to regenerate blood vessels, which is a requirement for recovering from an injury. If you suffer from an injury, more NAD could be the key to recovering better and quicker.

Weight Loss

Most people have tried at least one or two fad diets in an effort to lose weight. While most fad diets are ineffective, there’s a better alternative to starving yourself. NAD has a metabolic functionmetabolic function, and an effective metabolism is one of the keys to weight loss.

How the NAD Treatment Works

This treatment is relatively simple. Our Mobile IV Medics expert brings our concierge IV service to you to provide your NAD treatment.

While there are some commercially available NAD supplements on the market, the intravenous introduction of NAD into the body is much more efficient. The IV method puts NAD into direct contact with where it is needed via the body’s circulatory system, which in the end, connects will all to all of your cells. When you take NAD supplements by mouth, the vital nutrient takes a far more circuitous route to your body’s cells. The NAD molecules have to be broken down by your digestive system and then transported to your bloodstream. Consequently, the absorption of orally-consumed NAD is slower.

As with all IV therapy but even more important with NAD, IV infusion allows for immediate and 100% of the dose is absorbed by your body. That means your body begins using the NAD in your treatment immediately.
Although the infusion itself lasts one hour to a few hours, the effects may be seen over the coming days and weeks.

What’s in the IV?

This treatment consists of IV fluids and NAD. The fluid itself hydrates your body, leaving you feeling rejuvenated. The star in this show is the NAD, helping provide you with all the energy-boosting benefits you need. All of our NAD+ treatments are followed immediately with a Fast Vitamin Push that contains nineteen vitamin, minerals and amino acids!

It’s worth noting that this type of treatment is best to book in advance as it requires a bit longer infusion time than other treatments.

Possible Side Effects

There have been no definitive studies showing any negative side effects of NAD+, though higher than average doses could possibly lead – in some cases – to anxiety, insomnia and jitteriness. As with any drug, it should be monitored for proper dosages. The licensed medical professionals at Infuse Wellness work with every client on a personal level, helping to ensure that the most beneficial amount of NAD+ is prescribed for you.
